Medical Management of Eating Disorders

Greenlake Primary Care is excited to offer Medical Management of Eating Disorders to our community through Premier Care. Naomi Busch, MD, and Melissa Holmes, PA-C, have been practicing primary care providers for over 20 years. They have worked together for the last 10 years providing personalized care to a diverse community of patients and have become the local experts in the medical management of eating disorders including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, ARFID, and binge eating/compulsive overeating disorder (HAES philosophy). Dr. Tess Moore joined the practice in January 2021. Dr. Moore brings with her over a decade of experience and is currently accepting new patients.

In addition to their outpatient practice, Dr. Busch, Dr. Moore and Melissa, provide medical consultation to several local eating disorder companies including Evidence Based Treatment Centers of Seattle, Opal: food and body wisdom, Center for Discover, The Emily Program, and other local experts. They have experience in levels of care from residential and partial hospitalization to outpatient.

Clients with eating disorders have unique and complex medical and psycho-social needs. The goal of Premier Care is to provide a personalized experience for the patient and their outpatient team. Our medical team will interconnect the team via HIPAA compliant email and text. The hope is that by improving communication between the various team members (dietician, therapist, psychiatrist and medical provider) the client will have more support to increase their success in treatment, maintain recovery, and prevent relapse.

Plan details:

60-90 minute initial consult $350

New patients have an initial consultation with one of our medical eating disorder specialists to discuss their unique medical needs. During this initial visit, the medical provider conducts a full medical and eating disorder history, orders relevant blood work or other studies, and performs an EKG. This, along with the patient’s medical story, will help her develop an individualized care plan that will include an assessment of the risk of medical complications and recommendations regarding exercise, vitamins, electrolyte replacement, and an appropriate level of care. They will share this care plan with the client’s primary care provider (with appropriate release on file) and will be available for consult for that first month. The client may choose to join the Premier Care Membership and have their ongoing eating disorder medical care at Greenlake.

Premier Care at GPC is $100/month

The Premier Care concierge membership fee is not covered by insurance and does not cover the cost of visits. Premier Care allows for ongoing access to Greenlake Primary Care, nurse visits as requested by a treatment team, and coordination of care with the treatment team. Care at the clinic is individualized for each client and may include weekly vitals or ECG with a certified medical assistant, regular check-ins with their medical provider, and ongoing communication/coordination of care with the treatment team. Other Premier Care membership benefits include access to our monthly wellness newsletter and zoom lunchtime talks, discounts on a vitamin/supplement shop through Wellevate, and weekly seated yoga with meditation for patients with eating disorders.

Visit fees for Telemedicine or In-person visits

In-person or telemedicine visits incur a visit charge that has been discounted for our Premier care members. We are an out-of-network provider with all commercial insurance companies, so you will be responsible for all office visit charges at the time of service. As a courtesy to you, we will provide you with a copy of your paid invoice which you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement. A typical onsite follow up visit is booked for 30 minutes and the charge is $150. Visit length and complexity determines charges and ranges from $60-$225.

We would be happy to discuss our program with you or your patients.  Melissa can be reached at  Dr. Moore can be reached at
